I am mostly a novice in the rooting. i have had my phone rooted through several roms throughout the year. all previous problems i have been able to figure out by reading this forum.
I have a OG droid :motdroidhoriz: and i was running CM7 RC2. i was trying to change roms and discovered i could not get into recovery to flash another rom. I tried both power + X and RM recovery.
Then i was trying to do SBFrecovery and i believe that is where something went wrong.

I am currently stuck on the M logo but can get into recovery mood. I have tried to restore but i get error code 21 and i tried the install update.zip. I dont knw what the next option is...

can help me fix this problem or point me in the right direction.

That one should have worked. Although just to get recovery it was a bit extreme. I think you've got stock recovery on there now. Have you tried a factory reset in recovery?
If that doesn't work you'll need to rerun the sbf.

The original issue was with ROM manager not flashing the recovery well. All you really needed to do was flash CW from ROM manager a few times and it would have stuck.

Check raidzero's section. He has a sbf for just his recovery. Try that and see if you can load a backup.

the sbf file i used was RZR 2.0.3 recovery only and the update file RZR-update.
no errors.

renamed the rzr-update file to update. put it on the sdcard.

allowed update.zip, hit install (deprecated) then reboot. stuck o M.

am i missing a step?
