how are themes on it though? and if you incorporate it into SD10 will you also add in an ics lockscreen? thats one thing i like about go launcher, it plays well with go locker and an almost perfect replica of the ics lockscreen, and what about the transitions? i love the sphere app drawer and homescreen transition effects (Im sure it doesnt have those ones but does it have any fancy ones?)

Yeah, it wont have any, that I know of. But I like its slick performance and HD quality graphics. I will see what I can do with it by the time I release.

I'm pretty sure music stuttering is kernel related more than anything. Every ROM I've ever used causes my music to stutter/skip except if I use a PE kernel with it. With Me there doesn't seem to be any particular moment that can pinpoint.

It might be. I never had audio issues, ever, and I use music a LOT. Some people have, and some havent. Im still working on various tweaks and such, so things may work out with this new version, and fix some of the problems some of you have been facing.

    Whoops

Sorry for the slow response. It happens when i'm listening to music with the stock music app and the google music app. doesnt happen with slacker though. seems like only SD9 does it.

i had the same problem with this ROM. It is the SD card read ahead value that is causing the music skips. Download something like "sd card booster" and change the value to 1024 KB or smaller and set it on boot as well. By default this ROM sets it to 3096 KB.

Nemus Launcher is speedy, I'm actually going back to SD9 with Nemus tonight, I had to try out a few roms but i'm coming back yet again. Well the music issue is weird, I had it and always thought it was the sd read ahead and got really excited about google music so I loaded my library up and started using it. the stutter started happening. I believe it's really a GB related issue.

Are you using stock kernel, if so try different one. I don't seem to get skips with PE kernels no matter which rom use with?

I've had the music skips with PE kernals, Chevy, and Deprimed, on top of that i've tried different voltages at different govs and no I could never fix it, even locking the app into memory did nothing, actually made it worse in all honesty

Whats a reccomended SD Card Read Ahead (kb) for class 4 sd cards. I just bought a new 16gb sandisk class 4 and wondering if it should be increased rather than 3072 for my old class 2

try this little tweak i know of, it usually helps out a lot with music skipping

    change sdcard buffer speed
run in terminal emulator as superuser (su) or put #!/system/bin/sh as first line and put in /system/etc/init.d (you can change the value in the "echo 1024 > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb" line to suit your needs- (common values are 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 3072, 4096, 5120, 6144)

    for i in /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/*
    do
    echo 2 > $i/read_ahead_kb
    done
    echo 1024 > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb
    echo 2 > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/default/read_ahead_kb

or you can try just simply using the simple version

    echo 1024 > /sys/devices/virtual/bdi/179:0/read_ahead_kb

do you know the full specs of the card or what exactly the classes mean? heres how it works for anyone that might not exactly know...the class number represents the slowest writing speed expected on that sdcard for example a class 2 card means you can expect a MINIMUM of 2 MB/s, a class 4 means you can expect a minimum write speed of 4 MB/s, a class 10 means you can expect a minimum write speed of 10+ MB/s...however the read speeds which is what the sdcard read-ahead buffer refers to the read speeds which varies upon the brand/model of sdcard

now for the easy answer, considering the 3072 doesnt tend to work well on class 2 sdcards because its too high, it should work just fine for you, im pretty sure chevycam has a class 4 sdcard too so that setting may actually already be the best one for a class 4 sdcard
