I actually just built a new Droid X build tonight. I will upload it to one of my testers, and see if it even boots, and go from there. Having trouble building my D2 and D2G builds though, that's why there hasn't been an update to those two in a while.

Sounds great on the dx build!! Wasn't expecting it this early in the week. Hopefully it boots fine.
Edit****** I just sbf'd back to gb so if you need another tester just shoot me a link otherwise I'll just wait to see how it goes.

Just like the D2. Always a pain in the butt. My biased past experience. Still love the current D2 build. Not sure I'm ready to try anything else. What isn't broke...

    Ok, another edit...

It appears that every time I leave where I have wireless coverage, the problem surfaces (read above). When I come back into wireless range, it connects and shows that I have an IP address, but I still can't use the web or other data services.

Chevy is working on an update build for the dx right now. The build you installed is over 3 months old, not that that matters but just wondering why you didn't wait for the new build. Did you install the themed or unthemed version of 4.0? I flashed the unthemed version when it first came out and didn't have the issues your having. As a matter fact i was impressed with how it ran. Maybe you can download the opposite version of what you installed and do a complete wipe and install that and see how it goes.

I simply downloaded the one (4.0) that was listed on the front post...I wasn't aware there was another one, or that this was hadn't been updated in a while.

Also, I wasn't whining or complaining about the issues...I was simply trying to find out if it was a known issue or something specific to my device.

It didn't seem like you were whining or complaining at all. I just figured you might not have known that you were installing an older build instead of an updated one. This link might be easier to follow since it doesn't have all the other phone builds included in it http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/g...teel-droid-10-gb-2-3-7-released-3-8-12-a.html as you see the build date is 3/8/12.

OK, I need to get a tester for my new, and hopefully WORKING, Galaxy Nexus MAGURO build. Please have real experience in flashing and bug testing. I may need screenshots from time to time to know what exactly is wrong if its graphical, or requires me to see whats on the screen.

    Is the unthemed version Gingerbread?

Yes they are both gingerbread. One has been themed to look like ics but the other is unthemed.

I have the D2,I have two of them actually. one is running your Droid Steel rom & the other has MIUI Icecream 4.04 at the moment. I'd like to ditch the MIUI & install Steel on there but that phone has 621 on it :(

Only complaint I have about Steel would be Airplane Mode & the 3G being a pain to get select or to work sometimes. I have no idea if this is possible but it would be nice to have a set of signal bars for 3G as well like the MIUI has.. other wise I love it & Great Work, It seems you have a nice fan club going :D
