On the I-95 heading to Bangor right now to finish up car registrations and to get my Maine driver's license - my wife is driving and I'm building kernels as we cruise down the interstate! Gotta love tethering dancedroid

My wife is pretty cool in all ways - so she definitely shows some interest in what I do, although she's not interested in rooting her phones ...

I've only lost data twice on the drive, each time for just a couple of minutes - so it's pretty cool. Got my server sitting at my folks place in Canada, so I remote into it for all the builds as it's much faster than this crappy laptop. Gotta love technology!

Glad to hear! Yeah, technology is fantastic.

There are a few people looking for any of your Smart@$$ kernels. Have you moved your links for them? People are asking, yet none that have it already are reluctant to share it. lol

    Thank you sir.

Fun! Nice to be connected on the road...:)

Not meaning to distract you, but I've been following Pete's new kernels and what he says about certain kernel models being built on older architecture...and that the new interactive is the way to go...
Since your kernels are widely followed, I'm curious how you feel about this.

Chevy she sounds like a keeper. A good woman always supports her man. Thank her for all of us, she is a virtuous woman, and you are lucky to have her. I'm glad the kernels are coming around, although I'm a bit puzzled as to the difference in the smartass and minmax kernels.

Haha, enough with all this ice cream sandwich nonsense. I hope it's a joke. You should be thinking about honeycomb before anything, as that won't even run on OG droids... not perfectly atleast. Pretty sure ice cream sandwich is going to have system demands that our OG's can't even come close to matching. Q4 is a long ways away.

Nothing is perfect, but my and many other phones ARE running on Gingerbread. It's called Simply Stunning 5.2.

Uhm, ICS includes many of the Honeycomb enhancements and you provide no evidence suggesting that the D1 with SS 5.3 will not be able to run it.

Uhm, let's see, dualcore phones aren't coming out for no reason. They plan to mold android around them, only minor themes and such have come out that are honeycomb, the honeycomb port for D1 calls and other numerous things that are necessary to call a phone a phone don't work. Gingerbread is hard to run on some OGs because of lack of memory. Compcache, swap partitions, and minfree tweaks are the only ways to get it to run the way it's supposed to. Oh yea let's see, gingerbread isn't going to get released via OTA for OG because of it's memory, which I'm pretty certain means that icecream sandwich will NEVER see or even be able to run on a phone that'll be 3 years old at that point. Keep your hope though.
A D1 with SS5.3 will be running just that, SS5.3, and honeycomb isn't coming to D1 since it's designed for tablets.
