I'm new to Droid; this is the first time I've seen any 'spam' show up in my Notifications taskbar. Showed up along with the Flash update today.

"Edit Microsoft Files: "Save 50% - Upgrade Quickoffice Now"

Is this a common thing to see bloatware or free apps pushing offers to the notification bar? Or is this just another case of Microsoft being involved and doing their best to milk me for $$$ ?

I know the app Free Power Widget prompts you to try the paid version every time you change one of the settings. Pretty annoying.

I saw it too and it made me incredibly confused since it looked like an update in my status bar.

    quickoffice mobile suite office

was hoping to find some info here but looks like we are all getting same message. looks like good stuff to be able to access on phone. when I looked online - showed $15 as a promo price. so either it's not selling or it's a good deal. would I really want to open docs, docx and xls on my phone - hmmm - maybe. hopefully someone will post who knows more about the app. i'll be waiting.

droid x owner - loving it and still learning
