Notifications for Texts NOT Emails

I just got my Droid 2 today and have been kind of sick so I've spent most of the day lying in bed getting to know him. I have been getting the same notification for texts and e-mails. Now I get dozens of unimportant e-mails daily and a few crucial texts so I really need to have different tones and cannot figure it out. Any suggestions?

Each app (email texting) has the functionality to use a different notification sound. Open the app, tap menu, tap settings, tap notifications, tap ringtones. Do this for both and you'll have what you want.
