'Nother Noob!

Hi! New to the Forum, new to Droids, new to smartphones. Ordered a HTC Droid Incredible 2 today. 'should show up at my front door sometime tomorrow.

I'm an old fart, retired, and the only cell I've ever had is my Moto Razr V3M. It will go into a drawer tomorrow!

I'm anxious to learn about rooting, hacks, and "improvements" to my phone.

well before you hack your phone, get to know your phone and it's capabilities, you may not want to hack it. and if you decide to hack, look over the information VERY carefully, it's very fun, but you don't want to mess up your phone. good luck!

welcome to the forum. there's a wealth of knowledge here and so much to read, learn and understand. sending u a link to better understand what root is and how it works. u don't need to root or 'hack" to customize ur device. there are other ways but like it was mentioned, rooting isn't for everyone. the community is always here to assist u other wise. so here we go....
