Not sure if i am unrooted...

    Is there a specific way to make sure i am unrooted? when i unrooted everythign was completely flashed i had to reactivate my phone and everything...tho the nandroid files and update.zip were still on my sd card, i know its my sd card tho. but yea i just wanna make 100% sure i am unrooted b/c i have yet to recieve the update, tho i am not worried YET.

    if you don't have the super user icon youre not rooted

    uhm...huh? where would this "super user icon" be...

    I followed the step by step instructions on here and thought I was unrooted by still have superuser icon in my apps? I too am waiting for the ota 2.1 update.

    If you used sbf and had to reactivate..you arent rooted. You can also enter recovery and see if sprecovery comes up.

    You can be rooted without sprecovery :) Not smart, but you can be.

    I would suggest going to the market and dling a free terminal client. Open it up, and type in su. If it goes to the next line with a # sign, your rooted.

    So what you see in this case if you have 2.1 installed on your Droid? Will you default to the stock recovery now?

    It will be as if you just bought your droid, with the exception of all your stuff still being present on your sd card.
