non working 3.5 mm jack

A couple days ago, the jack on my droid razr maxx stopped working. I dont know what happened honestly. My music, when on my car dock, will only play thru the external speaker. I have the same issue when trying to use my ear buds. looked thru all the sound settings, and still couldn't find a possible solution. Has anyone else a similar issue?

Yeah, search the forums for lint in the jack. I posted a few on it, read them before attempting to remove lint. Hopefully that's the problem. I'm out and about right now or I'd post the links for you. Good luck.
