No USB mass storage notification to mount

Well I didn't know where to ask this and I can't get anywhere in the rom's section so here goes....

When I plug in via usb to my pc I don't recieve the notification to mount mass storage. However, I can mount via recovery.

Any ideas as to why I'm not recieving the option to mount via the notification bar?

Yes. It's your rom. Revert to an earlier version. It has become a know issue with the last few roms built from cyanogenmod's source.

I had same issue, I discovered that Virtual Box was the issue. Shortly after installing Virual (and VMWare Player), I installed both the same day... after a few days the PC wont not recognize the phone anymore and would not mount. It would charge but thats all. I uninstalled bot VB and VMWare and now the PC mounts the SDCard just fine.
