just making sure i'm getting the fixed file
I will never post up a fix without it going into RM as well ... so the short answer is yes!
Thanks so much man. And welcome back from vacation, so glad you released 4.8 as i was having some 4.7 issues and had to swap roms while waiting. All is right in my droid world now
Downloaded, flashed and looking good!
I have a versioning suggestion I hope you don't mind. Every time you make a change to a ROM make a new version (instead of replacing the old). That way everyone knows what the latest is and it will be easier to support by you and others.
Example: Lets say you release 4.8 and want to make some small fixes. Release 4.8.1 then 4.8.2 etc. No more confusion Its not just you, all the ROM devs seem to want to release different versions under the same version name (you could start a new trend). What do you think?
He does do that. With 4.7 he had 4.7 Update 1 and 4.7 Update 2. Then the rom was modified greatly so he has 4.8, I don't see any confusion.
yes...Chevy's "small updates" are called patches. Thats what they are called in the computing world as well. In dealing with government regulated computer systems that are compliant with 21 CFR part 11, etc...we installed "patches"...most of our patches were to eliminate security risks though.
So...chevy simply stunning 4.7...was w/o patches...as stated..after the two patches...in rom manager, current ROM shows 4.72 meaning you were patch level 2.
Hope that makes sense.
Cool, i'm liking SS 4.8.1
