no text sound for droid

I have had my droid for about 6 months-no problems. But now it has suddenly stopped having sound for my texts. Every other notification works. I am receiving the texts-just no sound. I uninstalled the ringtone program I had (Zedge) and tried to use one of the ones on the phone-still no sound.

Fixed!

I read another thread and found my solution. I had been going through general settings and assigning a ringtone for notifications. This time, I went into my text window and went directly into text settings. I then assigned a new ringtone and...it works!
