No Text Notification on Dock

When my Droid is in the dock, it sometimes does not sound the text notification (even though the volume is all the way up). I am not sure about calls, nor am I sure when it is plugged in normally. Any ideas how to fix this? I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

Are you using the stock messenger or are you using handcent? If you're not using handcent, you should be.

I've never missed a notification, but I don't text that much either.

Mine just started this also!! All other notifications email, updates, ext work but no text.

Didnt read your OP properly mine is doing this all the time not on a dock.

Do yourself a favor and switch to Handcent. It stomps on the stock messenger app.

I text, ALOT, and have never missed a notification.

Check it out, it's alot better than the messenger app and has alot of different options you can play around with. Very customizable as well.
