No soud option in setting menu

Hi

I have just purchased a phone ex Hong Kong which only has chinese insructions

Operating system is Android 4.0.9

In the setting menu there is no SOUND option

Can anyone tell me how to alter ringtones and message alerts etc

Are you sure that it isn't a knock off??? You can also try to change them in the phone settings and in the messaging settings.......

4.0.9? Never heard of it.

Even for a knockoff there should be a sound setting

4.0.9 appears to be a real thing.. did a Google search for it and people claim to have devices running it..... but yea, should be sound settings able to be accessed in multiple places, as stated above.

It's easier enough to change the Android version though. I could make mine read 7.2.1 I'm thinking it's a fake or has some cheesy Chinese provider system... Maybe there its illegal to have a phone that rings..... Lol

Hi Thanks your your suggestions.

Have managed to get manufacturer to send me english instructions.

Instead of sound option there is an audio profile which selects volume types. Long press on type and selections appear that would normally be listed under sound
