    Factory Reset

you have to do a factory reset to be able to get your ringtone back. as far as i know its a bug. not sure what causes it. wether it be from having app sisntalled from someone elses droid, like i had done or just a random chance. but to fix it, sync your phone, go to settings -> privacy -> factory reset. let it set itself back up. then you got your ringtones back.

Known issue. Factory reset is the only known solution right now. See this thread on Motorola's forum:

    No ringer solution for me!

I've been waiting for over a week for an update to this problem. I just tried Matt's "level" solution but like others it did nothing except getting me to think on my own. Sometimes that's a good thing. I went into settings/call settings and turned off only the items showing a check mark. Then I did the same going to settings/sound & display and dialed my number and like majic my phone rings. I've waited before posting and tried it five other times and it sings like a bird again. Hope this helps.

I had the same thing and did a hard reset. I was told it was because I checked the box about turning it to vibrate when I turn it face down.
