    I installed the 2.1 with ese53 from here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/an...-candidate-overclocked-included-sbf-file.html
    I'm having two problems:

    1) live wallpapers don't work. When I go to choose a wallpaper it gives me: gallery, wallpapers (all the 2.0.1 wallpapers and wallpaper gallery. The problem is no live wallpaper picker. Also, when I go into system/app there is no apk that references to live wallpapers. I don't know if there should be, but I'm wondering what's wrong?

    2) a lot of apps don't show up in the market anymore. Is it because I'm on 2.1 and the market doesn't think they work? What's up with that?

    Thanks

That file has been tweaked, I just installed an unrooted version of ERE53 and they work great.

Yes, yes I did...You HAVE to have a former version installed, as he only has an update.zip file available right now, but here you go...

    [ROM] 2.1 ESE53 Bugless Beast V0.6 (3/7/10))

That guy's been literally doing about a version a day since his first ERES25 version...V .6 won't destroy your themes/OC if you're updating, as it only fixed some issues some people had with video recording and adds the 5 screen launcher instead of three.

Don't say Kansas never did anything for you.... :D

I'm not sure if there's a patch or just a part or a rom that you could adb push to your phone for them to show. I've been on bugless beast since ere25 and have had live wallpapers the whole time, but most weren't interactive til the ese. Have you checked where you got your rom to see if the dev didn't removed them for some reason?

well i think i could use the update and go to bb v 5 then use the next update and go to bb v6. (because live wallpapers are in the .5 update.zip)
    so 2 questions:
    1) will it work if i use the update.zip to go to bb v.5 from what i'm running right now?
    2) will still be amazingly fast like it is now? (without wiping data)

If I were you, I'd use the nandroid method to go to v.5. Update.zips will only change certain things and aren't recommended (by me at least) for use changing roms.

Since the rom you're on has some different things, it's best to wipe and start fresh. If someone thinks I'm wrong, feel free to correct me, but that's how I understand it.

As an example, v.6 only added a 5 screen launcher and fixed video issues. Therefore, it only replaced the launcher and some files having to deal with camera issues. V.5 offered a BIT more of an update via update.zip, but it'd still just patch pieces of one rom I to another, which may produce undesired effects.

Once you nandroid, you can just update.zip from there on until Pete says otherwise.

Also, you'll have to separately apply one of chveyno1's kernels to ovefclock, because Pete's stock kernel is only 600mhz.

IMHO Pete's roms are very crisp and fast, and they don't call them "bugless" for no reason. He tweaks the hell outta them for the best possible results.
