Okay, so on Gingerbread .596 I can't get RealHDMI or Xternal Display to work. They worked fine on Froyo, but not on Gingerbread. I'm guessing the devs just need to update the apps?

I'm assuming the stock HDMI functionality on the X is still dog doo worthless?

When I plug my phone into a display via HDMI, the external display doesn't simply show what is on the phone.

My 3 year old motorola Q9n did that with its A/V out cables and I expected the same from the much newer DX.

Unless they fixed that early on and I missed out?

Using RealHDMI, you should plug in the phone and open the app and click detect. Then click On. If you've done that, then what else you can do other than uninstall and reinstall.

It seems that RealHDMI has been updated to work with Gingerbread. I don't have the latest version, so I'm guessing thats why mine didn't work.
