hey I just wondered if anyone else had seen this issue. When using the nil mobile app it works fine on the phone but as soon as you try to play the nfl network channel and connect the hdmi cable it gives a video error. I am guessing it is something in the app that prevents end users from doing this? I was hoping to watch the nfl red zone through my phone on my tv

It's probably built into the app, but I'll try it when I get home. Are you rooted or anything?

I'm not rooted, but I am pretty sure it did work at one time that's why I am leaning to an update disabling it. I remember the playback being pretty choppy, however I am debating on going to the bionic to improve playback quality.

Im having the same issue, factory bionic, error message when loading the video, I think it might be a NFL thing. Im a little upset if it doesnt start working. The hd dock is pretty worthless. I had a message pop up on vcast when I was trying to watch a show from fox, it said video can not be played through hdmi.

I believe you can only use the HDMI out feature for user created videos.

It was working until a week ago. I was using it to watch nfl mobile on my tv since I got rid of my cable box at my office. Now it won't work. They may have updated the app.

Well nothing is supposed to change until the 29th. When 3g users unfortunately will lose premium content. 4g users will get free premium service for the this season starting Oct 1st. What this has to do with hooking it up to the tv I dont know lol But Ill give it a shot in a few..

Well I tried it at home, I can get the app to show up on the tv, but once I try playing a video, it fails.

Yes, straight from the phone to the tv. Just the NFL Mobile Main Menu displays. I can scroll around, but as soon as I click on a vid, the tv goes black (like it loses the signal) and I get the pop up message on my phone saying unable to display. If I unplug the HDMI cable, the video will play just fine.

I have always opened up the app after I have the phone connected to the tv.

Same exact issue here.... pretty bummed. the mirror works flawlessly for everything else, but as soon as you click on the video from the nfl menu, screen goes black indicating its loading, and then an error messagepops up. If i unplug the hdmi cable, the video will play on the bionic. gonna try the work around with the app described earlier in the thread. I also heard there was an app called "real hdmi", it was created for the X as well but I'll give that a shot as well.

In order for xternal display to work properly with nfl mobile i had to do the fowling
    1. Plug in hdmi cable
    2. Start xternal app.
    3. Make sure it displays desktop on tv.
    4. Launch nfl mobile

If nfl mobile is already launched before connecting cable, it will not work. It is a bit tricky, but i was able to get it to work.

^^^ Were you able to view any video from within the NFL app after doing that, or just the static information? Thanks!
