Posted this in the Note2 forum yesterday, but no responses, so thought I'd try here:
Just got my wife a Note 2 and we can't seem to get NFC transfers between the Note 2 and my S3 to work consistently. It works once in a while, but 90% of the time when we 'bump' the phones, nothing happens. My son also has an S3 and we have no trouble at all doing NFC between the S3's, works perfectly, but neither S3 can reliably transfer to/from the Note 2. We've tried every combination of bump technique/position, settings, removed the cases, etc. The Note 2 and my S3 are stock Verizon ROMs, not rooted. The other S3 is the latest Cynogenmod ROM.
Are there problems with NFC on the Note 2? Wondering if we have a hardware problem and should take it back and exchange it (or at least the battery/NFC).
