You would have to in some way physically damage it or somehow wipe the phone clean that not even the bootloader can be read, it would be very difficult and most likely done by intentionally trying to do so.

I found a couple of different stickies in the dev section to root my Nexus. Is it required to have a computer to get this done? What's been the easiest rout to take? And I'm sure I'll have other ?'s.

And somebody at either XDA or Rootzwiki did just that. Wiped his device completely through fastboot. It is possible to brick (just near impossible to) but you have to do something asinine.

download easy click to root program on your pc rom xda developers. you can find it with google it's simple a fast to root this thing with that
