For those that have seen some of the Nexus One pics you may have noticed the back of the phone always had a post-it note etc covering it.

Well this recent photo finally shows the back naked, there is an "Android" waving a "QR Code Flag"..

Fire up your BarCode Scanners and see if you can figure out the secret code ???

Oh, Happy Holidays to everyone! ;)

I could't get Barcode Scanner to focus either, though it was fun to try!

I found if I zoomed the image to 200% Barcode Scanner would read it and take me to the hidden link..

Hence the Happy Holiday wish with a wink in my original post :)

I'm pretty sure he meant that he zoomed in on the barcode on his computer monitor, not in Barcode Scanner.

    Wow. :icon_eek:

Maybe I'm being obtuse. I really didn't think his post was that hard to understand.

This may help if your still having trouble :)

Call me obtuse, call me anything you want but it is very frustrating when something "easy" doesn't work. I saved the picture, to my desktop, used windows photo gallery to enlarge it on my screen and can't get it to focus.

He did not call you obtuse...

Go back and try again. He said he was being obtuse.

I did not call you obtuse and there is no need to become frustrated. It has already been stated where this barcode directs you to.

I was able to scan it at normal resolution. It just took a few focus cycles to get it.

    Thank you for posting this.
Thanks also to Batfan for trying to help. Sorry if my reply changed the tone of this.
I am more concerned about trying to get the Barcode Scanner app to work than what the barcode actually says or leads to.
I tried again. I copied it to my desktop. I used windows Photo gallery to resize it at different image sizes. At one point I thought it was getting close as the dot was bouncing to three corners but alas for me no scan.
Do the camera settings have anything to do with the Barcode Scanner App?
Maybe I am just too shaky? :)
    Happy Holidays to all!

Yes, since it is not a great photo it takes the scanner a little while (or a few tries) to get it.

Don't use this example to try and see how well your scanner works(or not), it is not a great photo and may or may not work. A lot also depends on your PC screen etc...sooooo... in other works don't spend your Holiday trying to make this one work :)

BTW, there was an update for BarCode Scanners a few days ago that optimizes the scanner a little, make sure you have the latest version.

Open the Market then Menu> Downloads and see if there is an update showing. You can also do this for all apps to check for updates in case you don't receive an update notice for whatever reason.

    Happy Holidays to you too!!
