Google probably didn't offer a subsidize option to AT&T so that AT&T couldn't cripple it. AT&T is notorious for crippling its subsidized smart-phones. Also likely AT&T did not want to subsidize considering their contract with Apple (not to mention how much $$$$$$ they've lost on iPhone subsidizations already).

Why is it surprising that it's on AT&T before VZW? It's the same network type (GSM) as T-mobile just a small mod for their 3G internet channel(s). Most T-mobile phones will work on AT&T for voice just not the 3G. For VZW HTC has to do a complete switch of the radio which means R&D, testing and filing with FCC. Not to mention the Droid is still selling far faster than the Nexus so VZW is probably in no hurry.

A subsidy is coming, there was also a rumor that Google would release it to AT&T before verizon, I mean it makes sense, since it still is a GSM phone.

sony ericcson x10i with a chip prototype it works good but not really liking the droid operating system.
the main gripe is all the steps to get things done, my god it takes 6 steps and 5 different screens to delete an app!
how do you savea group of contacts so u dont have to keep entering each person for a text?
