Any DropBox users who recently upgraded to Android 4.4.2 with their smartphones will have found a rude shock. Basically newest version of Android wasn't on friendly terms with the camera upload feature in DropBox. The app ceased background syncing for your pictures. The only way to use the service required a workaround of manually uploading everything to the DropBox service.

Of course, DropBox wasn't going to leave that alone for long, so they have created an update which addresses this problem. The folks at DropBox also threw in a new feature for good measure. DropBox now has a new setting which only uploads camera photos from your Gallery app. This is in case you don’t want other items to be uploaded automatically.
