i am new to this forum, and new to the Android system, i am a Car guy in Kansas, and i am interested in learning the hows and hows to and getting rid of the crap apps Verizion shoves up our asses when you get a new phone:icon_eek:

like Block buster what a joke, Bitbop, kindle, and all the other crap

and how the heck to get rid of the friggin pop up adds????

welcome to the forum. def u should root ur phone to rid bloatware. there are apps out there in the market that will remove ads

Welcome to the forum. Glad to have you with us. To get rid of the bloatware you will need to root the thunderbolt. I am not sure how well the one click methods are right now, I have heard of some complaints. The "original" method works great just is very time consuming and tedious.

We also have a sub-section dedicated to the Thunderbolt here as well as a sister form that is dedicated to nothing but the Thunderbolt. Again, Welcome.
