Is there a dedicated New York Times app for the Droid (not just an RSS feed) the way there is for the iPhone? If so, I can't find it. Has anyone heard anything about one being available eventually? It would be awesome to have one. Thanks.

I've subscribed to an email update from the New York Times for years. I click on what interests me and it comes up in the browser. Double click on a column and it is easy to read in the browser in landscape. What does an app do that improves on that? But no, I don't know of an app for the Droid.

I bet the NYT is working on an official app. The previous version was 3rd party, and buggy as hell, and has subsequently been pulled from the market.

Although missing some features of a dedicated app, the mobile NY times page (mobile.nytimes.com) reads nicely through the stock browser.

For what it's worth, I like the HuffingtonPost app.
