Apparently, Verizon really takes their disclaimers very seriously, and reality is secondary. Watching the new Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III commercial above, you could be forgiven for mistaking it for a Galaxy Nexus instead. Check out the mixture of on-screen function keys just like those on the Nexus, at about the 17 second mark.

Also, from all the industry intel we have heard, the SGS3 will not have carrier branding on the front of the phone, just on the back, yet in the video the Verizon logo is right there on the front. Of course, it's Verizon's commercial, so they can do whatever they want with it, even if they did take some "poetic license" with reality.

Wouldn't be the first time, and it won't be the last.

At least it's not like with Tmobile. Which put Gingerbread on their Nokia Lumia.

There are soft keys on the sides of the physical home button.

Now that's hilarious. It's not something the average consumer would recognize tho, especially in that short time frame it was on screen.

Looks like it has both on screen buttons and the physical button. Pause it at 16 secs when the girls say "you can do it dad". If it does then that sucks!

I don't think it's a Nexus either. I'm guessing it's something they edited into the video. The phone in the video looks smaller
