New user...just got the Droid Razr Maxx

Not terribly impressed right now.......hopefully after a long day of using the phone with no worries of the battery running out I will have a change of heart. 2 things that have me terribly aggravated.... 1) the phone icon on the bottom left has a small "1" on it like it is trying to tell me I have a missed call...but even after deleting all the calls in the log it is still there....an hour later it disappears. Three phone calls later with a missed call, I see the "1" go to missed calls and click on the number but the "1" remains. That bothers me to no end. 2) I have all of these other right tones from my old DROID and the phone all NOT let me use them for individuals. I can select and assign the ringtones... the phone just will not recognize them and will only ring the main ringtone. Any help? Any advice?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Have you attempted to clear cache on the phone app to see if that takes care of the phantom notification? As for ringtones, I always have my phone my vibrate so I won't be much help there - but I am guessing that you have them in the correct format / folder when you are attaching them (are you able to play the ringtones in your music player or open them as an audio file)?

Good luck and hopefully someone else might pop in and offer more advice...

Hey guys...thanks for the info. No matter what I do, the "numbers" by the phone calls continue to come up, totally randomly too. Today, I have not missed a call and the "1" show up for the first time in 3 days....the last missed call I have is from 6 days ago and I have already clicked on it which should have gotten rid of the notification
