Today Amazon released an update for their Android Kindle App. The update brings a couple of new features to the app including support for Kindle format 8 and a new feature called "send-to-kindle". Kindle format 8 is Amazon's "next generation" file format that will bring a bunch of new features like
HTML5, scalable vector graphics, and panel views to their readers. The new send-to-phone feature allows you to email documents and have them pushed directly to your kindle. The update itself is only about 13.2Mb but users have also reported the update increases file and document sizes as well. Many titles already have kindle format 8 features, so check it out and let us know if you notice anything new.
