New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

    No one here wants to hear my horror story.. I went online to see how much my bill dropped and HOLY YAHOO... IT'S OVER $800 from the regular $230. In a middle of a big big dispute now..

    No horror stories here. Just got my statement for the next billing cycle. Everything is perfect, bill dropped $40 per month. Taxes and all, $150. down from $192 the previous 3 months. We have 2 DX's on the 1400 family plan. Word.

    Just got my statement. It works perfectly, but it looks like I lost the 20% discount off the unlimited data which makes my bill 2 dollars higher than i expected, but still 18 dollars cheaper than before. Here's how it looks on the bill:

    Wow, okay so my interaction was really weird...We[i needed the account holder] had called and she was like, "thanks for being a loyal customer for blah blah years, are you calling about a promotion?" I said that i'd like to sign up for the promotion on the OP and she's like, "well i don't see you are on the e-mail list"...to which I thought, then why would you ask me about a promotion but maybe there are more going on. Moving on, she tried to get my mom to just drop her data plan down to 15/mo. but then she said something about dropping my sister's line and THAT's when the rep gave us the offer. For me, it seems as if when you threaten in some way (ask for a super, complain on end, terminate a line) is when you have the best chance at getting the promotion. We're now saving $30/mo assuming the promotion kicks in and i will check on that in 2 days when our new cycle comes up. Happy promo hunting.

    the rep I spoke to also told me that I did not receive the promotion and therefore was not elibigle.

    I am switching from a blackberry curve 8330 where I used around 30mb of data a month to the droid pro, so I switched to the 150mb for $15...do I not realize what I'm in for in terms of data use? Should I just have the unlimited?

    can someone else verify that they got THAT discount on their bill(look at the highlighted part on the attached picture)? I got THAT discount on my bill but the rep was really weird when she gave me the discount and I had add a line to get it (was going to anyways). She made it sound like it was the regular 1400 min + unlimited txt plan and she was going to reinburse $20 a month for the data. Also she put a follow up on my account to make sure I added the line, witch make me think I might not have the discount yet, but will get it when she checks up on it.

    Please check you bill an let me know!

    It really depends on what you do with the phone. I think the $15/month plan (150 MB) is a super rip-off. I use well above 150 MB a month, and most of my "normal usage" occurs at night when I am on my WiFi. My wife also has a Droid X, and I would consider her a very light user, she used about 250 MB this past month. If you have a smartphone, 150 MB is just not enough, IMO. Even if you do almost nothing.

    I can't see the attachment, the resolution of the image is way too small (100 x 85 !!). Mine is shown as a regular 1400 min plan with $29.99 data charges for each line, then a $20.00 discount for data on each line.

    i stumbled on this site last night. my wife and i are looking to upgrade but reluctant because of the data charges. then i found this deal. i woke up and called and the lady was super nice. i told her i had received the email and would like to save the extra money when we upgrade phones. she looked up my account then she said
    "now... did you get the email about this promo or did you find out about it somehow.....?"
    i told her that i had stumbled on it and then she was like ok we since you know about it i can give you the package. hell yea!
    i reviewed everything with her and it was all fine and dandy then i logged onto myverizon and tada!

    i still get my 19% discount to!
    so my question is. do i get the discount on the 29.99 then then give me a 20 dollar credit thus im going to be paying 4.29 for my data and the wife will be 9.99? thats insane. love the site!

    Finally made the call, the nice lady said I wasn't on the list, I nicely asked her if there was anything she could do, as this would be a great help. She put me on hold for a few minutes, came back on and said they could let me 'test' this out as well.

    Called tonight and said a saw the promo online and wanted to know more. The guy nicely explained all that was included and then set me up. No mention of a list..
