Hi to all! I received my first smartphone on Tuesday afternoon. Galaxy 4S. I am so overwhelmed, I am lost. Would you believe that I have yet to figure out how to make a simple phone call?

    Welcome to the forum

There is a ton of useful info here, but to get you started, unlock the screen and tap the green icon lower left, dial away.

    Thanks for input

It turns out that my online activation of my phone did not work. Even ATT tried to troubleshoot the problem. I had to activate using my office phone. NOW I can make phone calls.

Thanks for all of the advice!!
