Well im new to the forum but had my phone for a while. I would like to root my droid 2 but really don't understand how to do it. I have been looking on the forum but still i am lost. Is there anyone that can help with the process.

Ok thanks, I went to the first step with the multiload web site but what do I need to do there.

If you used your pc to download it, use the usb to transfer it to the sd on your phone. Just place it on the root of your sd (not in any folder). Then use astro to find it and install it.

My computer internet is messed up so I was hoping to us my phone, is it still possible. Oh and the z4root app, what site did you get it from and the app you said about opening it.

Google "z4root xda". Once downloaded, if you use the stock browser, it will be on the sd in the downloads folder. You can get astro files explorer & droid 2 bootstraps from the android market.

Will any bootstrap work. I noticed that there were a few to choose from. I downloaded the z4root app as well as astro file manager. What next

I recommend using the one in the link below. there's also titanium backup to check out. take ur time in downloading various apps so it doesn't freeze up ur phone. too many at once may do that. u can also check out Droid Overclock by JRummy16 in the market. here's a link to see what others suggest
