I got the casio commander today and it is my first smartphone. I have heard that I need to remove the bloatware to speed things up. How do I do this? What else should I do? Please be specific.

    You need to root it.

    USB drivers

    Pretty straight forward guide

Don't forget to reboot when you're done.

I grabbed SU update fixer and the latest busybox as well as Titanium Backup Pro from the market.

You'll need "pro" if you want to freeze your VZW bloat-ware vs. just uninstalling them. I found a system dump and all the stock apps on the interwebz so I deleted them from mine. A "root file manger" like root explorer is helpful too.

We won't really be able to have any fun until someone cracks the bootloader and puts a recovery on it for when we really screw it up..
