I know I am going to need loads of help on this because the experience is totally new to me. I work with programming languages on the computer and can get around there ok, but I am LOST with these phones. However, this DX is awesome and I want to be able to use it for loads of things.

    what I do

Hi, yes, this site kept popping up whenever I had a questions, so I knew I had better subscribe.

I am a Microsoft .net programmer (the enemy?) I code in c# and vb.net 2010 , asp.net and sql server.

I do about anything if it involves a database.

I just got a book on Android but I don't see any use on my end until I understand the role of the smartphone in society. The presence of GPS, internet, camera, and program applications (oh, and a phone), plus connection to community and instant recording of what is happening around the user is really a new instrument and it is just dawning on me what this is.
