New to Android, SD card & moving music question

I am new to Android and have a couple questions:

How do I move music and video files from my computer to the droid2?
I may be having problems because for some reason my phone quit detecting my SD card.
I have checked...it is still in there.
What should I try so that my phone detects the card?


Can you drag and drop with Droid?

Once you plug the Droid in hit menu - notifications. Change the status to usb mass storage.
Your PC should acknowledge a new usb device and you can drop and drag.

Mine did the same thing. I was trying to get it to show up on my computer and wasn't having any luck. I finally realized that the phone itself wasn't recognizing the card. I shut it off, pulled the card and put it back in, and then it saw it.

As for the files, I am new to android also. Can we just name folders whatever we want and place files in there? I am coming from an enV Touch and you had to put everything in the folders in created for you. Is it safe to assume those days are long gone with Android?
