There's a free app that used to cost $10 that'll do just that!

It's called vlingo. I haven't used it much lately, but I had the free beta for a while, and it worked quite well then. I've downloaded the app as it is now, but don't use it much personally. Has a few nice widgets though and will even read incoming texts aloud now I think.

This technology is amazing with the Droids/Androids.
Is it also possible to [SEND] the message using voice commands?

Haha! I should shutup and let Abe do his thing. Anyway, if you click in a text box and then press the microphone key on the keyboard, it'll type what you say, but works best for shorter sentenced. You can also say "period" to place a period.

I spoke this sentence on my droid. I spoke this 1 is well and made no corrections to meter.

Is should be as and meter should be either, but you get the idea. That's the stock voice-to-text that can be used in any text box.

As with most things like this, the more clearly you speak, the better it does.
