New Member to the Droid Forums :)

Hey Guys/Gals,

My name is Heather and I have been a Droid owner for some time now. I just got into the whole rooting thing and have to say that I have NO idea what I'm doing. People are telling me that I need to kernel and all this stuff. I wanted to become a member of this forum so I can learn about rooting and make my droid for customizable to me.

If anyone has some advice on what threads I should read I would greatly appreciate it. I look forward to learning a lot from this site.

Welcome! Here is a link http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ne...-assistance/116993-new-android-check-out.html that will help. I suggest that you read several threads on rooting make notes and if you have questions start a thread. Once you are comfortable the community will be here to help.

welcome to the forum! mr whartman gave u a very helpful link. as far as kernel this, ROM that, take ur time reading thru some things first. get to know ur phone. Rooting is a good option but do so if ur thinking about serious customizing it. there's pros and cons but take ur time. here's another link explaining that
