I've had quite a few requests to bring back the 125 slot - what slot should be removed according to you all?

Also - compcache is now supported :)

I've noticed that some kernels have 2 slots close together such as 400 and 500 or 600 and 700. I would say remove one of the odd ones, 500 or 700. I might be off on what slots there is so if I am I apologize.

I like having a lot of options in the low end due to the CPU locking at the 3rd slot when charging. I don't want to fry when I'm asleep.

I'm pretty content with 250 on the low end, but since one would have to go, my vote would be for the 400 slot. Also, has anyone else heard about this smart*** governor? I think I read about it in the Droid Incredible forum. I may have run across it in an LG Ally forum as well when doing some research on rooting a friend's phone, but I could be imagining that one.

Edit: (Sorry, I know the governor is a bit off topic. Just curious.)

Yea I think that's part of the new kernel version. Prime is working on it along with a bunch of others but I think its pretty difficult

I'd say remove the 500. Glad to hear you got compcache working too :)

Can kernels have more than 7 slots? I remember reading on another forum that some kernels to have 10 slots. But, most, if not all developers stopped making them due to possible processor damage. I could be way off on that.

The current kernels are fine the way they are. How about a new kernel composed of all the popular frequencies, like 125, 250, 550, 800, 1000, 1100, 1200. I wouldn't even mind seeing 550 swapped for 600 since the processor is rated to handle this.

Is this going to be a gingerbread kernel? I am of the opinion that the current setups are fine.

I used to build kernels with 10 slots - but I had a couple of people PASSIONATELY asking me to stop as it could harm things. Yet I never saw a single shred of evidence. My D1 has been running since 11/09, and a good majority of that time on a 10-slot.

    Thoughts?

I've run your kernels forever, whether in SS or another rom somewhere, and have never had one single stability issue with my droid. I've had mine since OCT 09.
