We have been hearing reports for the past several weeks that the battery size for the Galaxy S8 would be 3000mah and the battery size for the Galaxy S8 Plus would be 3500mah. A new leaked image seems to confirm these stats. The image above was leaked via Chinese social media network Weibo. The part number is EB-BG955ABA which matches up with the S8 Plus, manufacturer is SDI in Vietnam, manufacture date is February 21, and the capacity is 3500mah.

These battery sizes are not the most impressive, but this will be an attempt by Samsung to give batteries more than enough space to expand. Of course with the S8 and S8 Plus Samsung will focus on safety and won't make the same mistake of including too large a battery for the phone's frame size like they did with the Note 7. For me the standard S8 is the perfect size as it matches up with the S7 Edge. I kind of hate the fact that the S8 will have such a smaller battery than the S7 Edge. Hopefully the Snapdragon 835 will be efficient enough that it won't matter.
