Need a new job for the holidays? HTC may need you. Recent postings on their career page, and additional postings on several job listing sites seem to indicate they are recruiting for their own mobile app store. An article last month from The Financial Times suggested that HTC planned this move in order to compete in this sector of the smartphone market. At that time they were simply hiring in Taiwan, but now they are hiring several people in the U.S. with a "solid understanding of online store development and operation process". It'll be interesting to see new app stores pop-up. The Android Market is great, but more competition will simply make it better, especially for us consumers.
