3. Transit station pages show upcoming departures.
Did anyone try uninstalling Maps and reinstalling this version? I don't have titanium and apparently MyBackup doesn't back up Google Maps.
I tried this, didn't work.
now I can't restore the backup from Titanium backup either....
I've tried removing android/data/maps as well.
still no luck, I can see it in the market, but it won't install fresh, and I can't restore my backups.
Mapless, hope I don't have to restore an old nandroid to get it back.
stock frf57 with market fix to build.prop applied
Yep, BB 0.1 Froyo - Google Maps install unsuccessful. Didn't see (will search) the market fix for Google Maps, but will see if that helps get 4.3.0 installed.
Searching DF now for market fix.
Thanks for the heads up. You are a brave soul.
Come on one of you brainiacs figure this out. i hate not having an update.
It apparently is affecting 2.1 users. Any of you guys with 2.1 having issues stock?
I did the exact same thing, and ended up mapless as well. I found this post: New Maps 4.3 "update unsuccessful" BB .2.1 - Android Forums.
I downloaded and installed that Maps.apk file, and at least have 4.2 back.
sorry for everyone's problems, but I am unable to install the Maps application either... running Froyo Kangerade v1.0
I am running Simply Stunning v4.1 FROYO FRF57 and mine installs fine.
I did get an error about not signing in when I first flashed the Simply Stunning and tried to install Google Maps. After I selected settings and did a Sign in, then the Google Maps 4.2 install worked (yesterday) and now I just installed Google Maps 4.3.
Wohooo, don't know that I will really use the transit or latitude features though.
I'm not gonna be the Guinea pig, but this is from Droid life.

I'm running a Droid Froyo-based ROM. I had to erase /system/app/Maps.apk, remove the related <shared-user> tag from /data/system/packages.xml, reboot, and then install Maps from the market. Works fine, now.
Thanks, currently rebooting after pushing it back to system/app and setting permission.
I held off on the 4.2 update from 4.1 forever because so many people had issues with it, I don't know why I was so eager to be an early adopter with 4.3
No issue whatsoever.
Installed like normal.
Thas how i was able to drop the 3 new features.
This sounds crazy that alot of you are having issues to install.
