Unable to download the new Car Home from Market!

Hey guys, so I've been unable to install the new Car Home app on the Market (here) because I keep getting some parsing error which I'm pretty sure it has to do with BB 0.5. Is there any possible fixes for it?

Car Home Error - package not signed correctly

I tried to update the Car Home app with the new Google Car Home app in the market and received the installation error "package file was not signed correctly". I tried to uninstall the stock version of the app via, the Applications settings screen, Titanium and Astro and all failed. Any advice? Thanks in advance...

best bet would be to use root explorer to navigate to /system/app and delete it,reboot phone and try to install again. theres also the adb method but root explorer is the easiest.

I see a lot of people have forgoten about the BB Toolkit app which will allow you to run my carhome script. Remove it, reboot, download car home.

BB Toolkit worked like a charm. Completely forgot about the Toolkit scripts. Thank you so much Pete!

I tried it on app brain (and a direct download) as well and it thinks I have 2.1.

It is because you probably already have a car home installed in system/app that needs to be uninstalled first and then the Market version will install correctly

Look in the Bugless Tool Kit, there should be a script for removing system/apps

You have to reboot your device after removing it for the system to recgonize that it's gone
