New Gingerbread RUU Leaked for HTC Thunderbolt

Earlier in the month, HTC indicated that the Thunderbolt would be receiving the official Gingerbread update sometime this month. While they are not quite ready yet, a very stable and functional new build, version 2.11.605.2, has been leaked that may end up being very close to the final build. Our friends over at AndroidPolice were able to get the leak from one of their sources. Here are their instructions and a download link:

Follow these instructions in order to flash:

• Rename the file to "PG05IMG.zip" (without quotes)
• Drop it on the root of your SD Card
• Turn off your device
• Hold Volume Down + Power to reboot into the bootloader -- the file should automatically be detected and the flashing process will begin.
• Wait for your device to complete the process and reboot

Of course, you guys no to be careful with the process, and that doing this will wipe all the data from your phone, and you will lose root, so make a backup, prepare properly and follow the instructions carefully. Enjoy!

The only difference between this one and 2.11.605.0 are the camera libs. In addition it won't be the final build because VM notifications don't work.
