I got tired of waiting for the Vz iPhone... had been out of contract for over a year and my Blackberry Pearl was almost embarrassing to bring out in public... so, I renewed and got the Droid X. Best purchase I've ever made! I haven't put it down since Christmas (self-gift.) I miss my family and friends on BBM, but the Android Market, Flash, and speed make up for it
I've also rooted with Z4root and have since "uninstalled" (i.e., renamed w/ Root Explorer) Blockbuster and CityID (thanks to this forum.)
The only downside is the wi-fi is unstable (g, n, WEP, WPA, etc. makes no difference.) But I hope this will be fixed in future updates.
