New Droid owner needs help

Hey guys, I've had my Droid for 3 weeks now and I got 2 questions I need help with.

1) Is there a way to get various alert tones for the calendar? I want to have Tone A for one event, Tone B for another & so on

2) How can I set up the contacts so the nicknames appear as the name & not there real name

Don't know about 1), but for 2), log into your gmail account on your computer and edit their contact. The edited contact will sync over to your Droid.

What you're really asking for is a sorting capability by nickname. I wouldn't hold my breath since it would involve opening a can of worms in the online google contacts application.

There may be a third party app that allows such sorting of contacts, but I think your best bet is to make the "first name" of such contacts be something like "(Dopey) John". That would accomplish your objective.
