new droid charge owner...questions

Im currently testing out a company demo droid charge. I am considering getting ut as my iwn. I just have a few questions

1. Is there any metal back panel case availble. I dont like the pastic feel and dont want to get a case that will enclose the device.

2. Is there any app besides noled that will show if you miss an email. Im currentlt using easy reminder fir missedt text and ohone calls.

3. How do i root the phone to remove the bloatware?

So far im liking the phone.
