They come with a Type C to normal USB in the box, but I've seen in the past, running Maps & Music while I drive consumes battery pretty good, the charger I had for the Note II couldn't keep up.No clue as far as fast charging is concerned. I have a charger with a standard USB port, so I'll likely just pick up a cable personally. If it trickle charges in the truck, that's better than nothing to start, for me. When I go on long trips, I like to charge the whole way there anyway. Ensures a full battery when I arrive. I might be interested in a good car charger that supports the Type-C fast charging standard though, down the road.
Oh ya, didn't think about that! - Well hopefully we won't have to wait tooo long for one.And that cable is short too. I don't think that'll reach from my dash down to my cigarette lighter port while using it for navigation.
Agreed, but you still want enough trickle power to charge/keep charged. I ran a test with my Note 4 a while back and charged it using my USB 3.0 (not that that matters because the phone isn't 3.0) port on my PC. It trickle charged it quite slow, but it reached a certain percentage and seemed to just hold it there, wouldn't go past like 50-some percent.I don't want fast charging for when I'm in a vehicle for hours. A trickle charge will work but I don't have any car chargers with USB ports they are all USB micro for my current phones.
