NEW BIONIC....3G issue>>Wont connect to 3g during activation!

    Ok I just left work to go pick up my bionic and while there at the Verizon store getting it activated and all it wont connect to 3g for some reason...The people at the store have NO IDEA how to fix it as my phone isnt the only Bionic thats doing it.. All of em are! So I just took my phone because I had to get back to work. But it calls out fine and gets text..Just cant sign in to Google or anything else because no 3G! Please help she's too beautiful

    There are reports of data activations being delayed due to high volume.
    Give it 30 mins and if it dosent fix itself I'd say battery pull/reboot

    Ok thanks alot bro...I told the lady that maybe I just need to wait and she also said that they had a similar problem with the Charge that it got 3G after about 20-30 mins of waiting so I guess I'll just wait it out...Thanks a ton..

    take a deep breath. your phone is fine. it's just the activation server (most likely).

    My friend's Charge had the same issue on 4G. Their activations may be a little slow today.

    Mine is doing the same thing. Can't get any data on my phone ( only 3G here). Been on for over 2 hours....On phone with tech support which is about worthless. He is having me check settings, etc.

    When I was in the store, I overheard them talking about data-issues.

    the activation server is just overloaded. give it time

    Mine was a little off at first also.
    It worked in the store, then went out, then came back and has been fine since.

    Data still not working on mine....

    Not happy, since I spent 7 hours last night trying to fix a bricked running stock GB, and was 7 days out of warranty.

    Then no data today...

    And my agenda this afternoon is to try and fix a wifi network extender that works like crap in one of my offices...

    having the same problem with data. won't connect. it did for a second and then stopped. not a good first day for the Bionic.

    activation servers are slammed... dont worry, it'll kick in.

    everyone should just relax and take this opportunity to charge the battery fully before they continue using it . hey maybe totally unrelated but my thunderlemon was a piece of s*** once the battery light turned orange it wouldn't do anything .

    you don't have to requote your response i am just adding that mine is down too.. when i went to the vzw store to get a case (i got mine at Best Buy) the guy next to also had a bionic and his had data mine has been 2 hours or so without data.. but thanks to people smarter than I ,(namely Dan Rosenberg) it's already rooted!     yea, i went about an hour. looks like it's good now. just had me a little worried. hope everyone is enjoying their Bionics!! it's like Christmas!

    Same problem here. Picked the phone up at 9:15 AM. Still waiting on activation. Most of the people in the Verizon store were also waiting for their new bionics to activate. Initially, we thought that some were having success with a repeated battery pulls, but it seems to have been just luck. If you are near a 4g network it seems to have no problem booting up on it.

    Did you do anything differently to get it to work? Or just repeatedly try? Did you ever get the authentication failed contact customer support or try again message? Or did it just stay on the authenticating please wait menu for a while? :p

    Verizon is aware of the issue - in NC and SC

    I spoke with a VZW tech. He said that they are aware of the issue. He did not elaborate as to what the cause is, but alas, that is irrelevant at this point. VZW is working diligently on putting a solution in place.

    Oh, and I'm in the same boat as those of you with this issue.
