Like the title says........... I'm looking for an app to calculate evaporation rates (in gallons and/or barrels a day) for fresh water in ponds and small lakes.

Something that I can punch in.......

Surface area (Sq. ft. and/or Acers)
Ambient temp.
Water temp.
Humidity
Wind speed
and any other parameters needed.

Does anything like this exist?

Not sure if there's an app for that. But if I wanted to know about this, I'd look for a book by Thomas G Glover called Pocket Reference. It usually sells for around $10. I have that book. I'll look to see if it has that info & post back what I find

Elevation, and purity of the water are a factor..many many variables to consider..
I don't think an app like that exists either..
MAXXED OUT!!!!!

Actually, I've owed a copy of Pocket Reference for many years. Great resource, but I didn't find an evaporation table in it.
Of course I may have missed it. That small print is hell on these old eyes :)
There are formulas out there to figure evaporation rates but I really need something to calculate on the fly.
This would be very useful in my line of work.
