I know you have probably been asked before but I'm stuck. My upgrade is now, I have the TB which I love but miss all the wonderful working features. I was looking into the iPhone 4s because 4g will not be coming to Columbus Georgia/ Fort Benning untill 2013 so any 4g is worthless here. Now I have been looking into the rezound because it seems like people are loving it and the camara rocks according to reviews and that is #1 priority to me..... So what would you do ? ( sorry if all over the place head cold is kicking my butt)
    Thanks
    Michelle

I am not an iPhone person. It feels too limited even if you jailbreak it. It works and it works well, but it's just not for me. I'm into flashing ROMs and customizing so Android wins hands down.

If you got a cold you should be sleeping not worrying about what phone to get:p

CES is around the corner. I am in the "wait" camp. Be happy with what you have. New devices will come and/or prices will come down on the current ones.

I have an iPhone 4S (personal phone) and a Galaxy Nexus (Company phone). I've only had the GN for about a week, but I've been on vacation so I've had tons of time to play with it.

Both of these phones are similar, as smart phones all seem to be, but quite different. I'd be hard pressed to pick one over the other. I think the build quality on the iPhone is superior, the GN is more customizable. The iphone digitizer is much superior, and I have a Zagg shield on it. The GN is naked.

The iPhone 4S seems to have the better camera.

I'm going out in about an hour, and I'll take both phones and shoot a couple of test shots with each. I'll post up my opinion and then, if the server allows (I'm new here) the photos or at least a link to them for you to look at.

    Hope that helps.

The iPhone will be a very polished smooth experience. I've also noticed that with the more fluid experience, there is a slightly slower speed in which things load. I'm guessing to keep it smooth. The screen and camera are nice, but I feel that if you're going to be married to a phone for 2 years, you should get something that you won't get bored of. Which, in this case, would be the Nexus.

After I posted yesterday my wife, who is an avid knitter asked me to photograph the beginnings of a couple of her projects. I've done this in the past with my iphone and I know the colours are true. Besides, then I don't have to go dig out the dslr.

Both photos are taken under identical conditions. Ambient light from a nearby window with an incandescent bulb directly above. Both were taken within a minute of each other. Both devices were set to automatic and both automatically fired their flashes.

This is from the iPhone 4S

This is from the Galaxay Nexus

The blanket under the box is brown, as is the inside of the cardboard box.

I gotta say, the iPhone wins this one hands down. The colours are correct.

    You be the judge.

The iphone 4s camera is superior, this has been proven over and over again. However, the Nexus camera is no slouch either. I'm not photographer, but I'd be more than happy with either, and the Nexus' no shutter lag is a huge plus.

As for how smooth things run on the iphone is because of how the OS is written. I forgot the reasons/technology behind it, but one thing I do remember is that if you try to scroll on the iphone while the page is loading, things stop loading and all power goes to scrolling. However, on Android if you try to scroll while a page is loading it does both, but at a "laggier" speed. This has to do with how each OS is coded. Each OS has it's advantages and disadvantages, but if you're looking for a polished experience, go with iOS. As for me, iOS is something I dislike, and I'd rather be a "guinea pig" with ICS.

Android isn't for everybody. Choose whichever phone you want, who cares what others think as it's going to be your phone, not theirs. I have my reasons for liking Android and disliking Apple, as long as you don't try to bash my phone your feelings will be spared:p
