need help

I have a text message on the notification status bar that wont send and I can't erase it. When I try to send it it says message not sent. Can't find the message in history either

Download and install handcent sms from the market. It will let you delete that unsent text. I recommend you try it out and see if you like it better than stock, but you can uninstall it right after, if you like.

that did not work unfortunately. originally i erased the text and not from the status bar so when i try to clear it it says message unavailable. it keeps popping up on the status bar. i cant find where the phone offers me an option to delete it. holding down the x-text does nothing
